The Luxury Network New Zealand guests latest Tantalus Escape with Heletranz Helicopters7th June 2019
Thursday 30th May saw The Luxury Network members escape to the amiable micro-climate of Tantalus Estate, on Waiheke Island, for a glorious Harvest Lunch, VIP transfers courtesy of Heletranz Helicopters.
Tantalus Estate dotes proud, rich history and elegance and claims its place amongst New Zealand’s premium vineyards and restaurants. With the city of sails providing a serene day for flying from the Heletranz Heliport – guests began the day with a glass of champagne before boarding.
Tantalus Estate chef Tino Passano, showcased the new Autumn-Winter Harvest menu; paired with pleasing wine matches that highlighted infused flavours from local produce. The menu showcased the diverse and plentiful bounty of ingredients unique to New Zealand. Seasonally sourced; guests indulged in Te Matuku Bay shucked Oysters, followed by an entrée, main, and dessert. Ora King Salmon, twice cooked Pork Belly, Hawkes Bay Lamb neck, and Longline Market Fish solidified as guest favourites, with each dish presenting a decadent flavour and taste profile.
The light-filled venue fabricated from natural materials and set amongst the vines saw guests perched amid the hand-painted tile walls, and intricate chandeliers crafted from old vines, creating a nod to a bygone era.
On departure back to Heletranz Heliport, The Luxury Network guests left with Tantalus Estate olive oil, and honey – showcasing one part of the delicious produce offering of the renowned destination venue. The treats continued as guests received a gift from Jo Malone London on arrival back at the heliport to treasure at home.
